TEA INFORMATION: Blending the goodness of fresh mango with a white Pai mu tan from Fujian, this tea heralds sweet luscious notes of mango floating over the jammy character of the base tea-absolutely glorious. White tea is similar to green tea, in that it’s undergone very little processing and no fermentation. But there is a noticeable difference in taste. Most green tea have a distinctive ‘grassy’ taste to them, but white tea does not. The flavour is light because the leaves are picked and harvested before the leaves open fully, when the buds are still covered by fine white hair, hence the name. Limited harvest is reflected in the price. There is also considerable less caffeine in white tea (only 15mg per serving compared to 40 mg in black tea and 20 mg in green) White tea also contains more cancer fighting antioxidants than green tea.
