ASSAM - TARAJULIE 1/4 lb in Tin

ASSAM TARAJULIE - Estate Black Loose Leaf Tea . COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: India. GRADE: Assam. MANUFACTURE TYPE: Orthodox. CUP CHARACTERISTICS: A thick full bodied tea with good malty flavour. A good all day self drinker. INFUSION: Bright and tending coppery. INGREDIENTS: Black tea. TEA INFORMATION: Tarajulie is a beautiful estate that lies in the shadows of the Himalayan mountains on the Bramaputra River plain. From time to time they contended with wild elephants and the occasional tiger. As a result, Tarajulie set aside some of its forested area on the estate to provide cover for these endangered animals. What gives Assam tea its special characteristics? For centuries a large slowly meandering river has deposited a rich loam over the valley, the soil is deep and sandy and the region has a hot and steamy monsoon season balanced by a cool and dry winter. All which are perfect growing conditions for Assam tea. And although earthquakes there swallow whole tea bushes it does not affect the unmistakable rich taste of Tarajulie that has maintained its high standards since its origin.
